SpyTown Going Green and Strong to Celebrate Earth Day

SpyTown.com, a premier retailer for all security needs and prevention with a variety of video security systems available is going green and remaining so with the celebration of Earth Day.

SpyTown, known for their impressive array of security equipment and assisting schools, businesses, and home owners in security is brining further light to the topic of environmental choices. The company has taken a proactive stance by making conscious business decisions to make a difference and protect the environment in any way possible. With the quickly approaching celebration of Earth Day on April 22nd, many are reminded of how precious the environment is, and how “Going Green” may help preserve it.

SpyTown has maintained a “Go Green” mentality by deciding to no longer print and mail out catalogs in an effort to reduce waste. In addition, flyers and promotions have been printed with soy-based ink products rather than the typical petroleum which are known to give off VOC’s (volatile oranic compounds, pollutants to the environment). Forest Stewardship Council, (FSC), certified paper has also been used rather than the standard traditional paper. FSC is a not-for-profit organization that was established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

“The environment is something of great concern,” shares Sales Director, Howard Geschwind, “At SpyTown we have made it a point to make an effort to “Go Green” and maintain such a consistency in hopes to lessen detrimental effects on the rainforest, wildlife, and the environment as a whole. By making these small changes it is believed it can help in a big way.”
